With child labor rampant in Bangladesh, many children do not have the opportunity to receive adequate education. A lack of education can anchor children to a cycle of poverty.

Agami addresses this problem by establishing schools in rural and poor urban slum areas of Bangladesh. Writing is an integral component of the educational curriculum provided. Literature, particularly poetry and theater, has a treasured place in Bengali culture, with major contributions from Nobel Prize winning writer Rabindranath Tagore.
