Maha's early experience with collage is strongly evident in his work as a photographer. His compositions delicately juxtapose traditional references with modern imagery, reflecting the realities of society in Saudi Arabia. Maha's strong connection to the Najd region of Saudi Arabia is also an important element in his work, as he readily incorporates traditional patterns and architecture typical of the region into his photography. His photographs and photograms have been exhibited in Riyadh as well as the United States, Canada, Hollad, England, and Italy. His work is currently on display at the Venice Biennale.
